The Board of Education approved the 2013-14 School Calendar at their meeting on Monday, February 11, 2013.
Holdrege High School physics/chemistry teacher Tom Brestel was chosen as one of ten teachers to represent Nebraska for three days of training. This training will be delivered this summer at NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These ten Nebraska teachers are the Charter group of Nebraska Education Space Ambassadors. Mr. Brestel and the others in the group will be trained to deliver space science content at workshops and other informal education settings. This training is funded by the Nebraska Space Grant on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
